Driftglass planted its roots in the Canadian prog metal scene more than a decade ago, but after several lineups and band names, the current incarnation of the band was born in Toronto in 2008.
With every band member possessing a different musical background and taste, the diversity of the band’s sound became the glue that held it together. This was well evident in Driftglass’ 2009 EP The Stranger, which balanced progressive rock with catchy, modern heavy metal.
Following the release of The Stranger, the band embarked on a brief series of local shows before returning to the studio to compose its debut LP.
In 2014, Driftglass unveiled All That Remains – a progressive metal album that displays the maturity of the band’s sound.
